Fellowship
Central to our life together is sharing in the fellowship of the church. In addition to our choir and Midweek Manna activities, there are many opportunities to join in fellowship at First Presbyterian. We strive to make every gathering of large or small groups in the church a time for fellowship and community.
PW (Presbyterian Women)
PW stands for Presbyterian Women which includes all the women of the church, even those who are unable to attend regular meetings. We meet the second Monday of each month at the church (1:30 p.m.) for study and fellowship. About every 2 years we hold a fund raising auction. The monies are used to help support The Good Samaritan center in Searcy, the Vera Lloyd Children's home in Monticello, AR, and various outreach programs (both national & international) through our Presbytery, and items needed for our church building which are not covered by other means. 2009 will be our second year to provide scholarship money for some of our youth to attend Ferncliff Summer Camp.
Special Events
Throughout the year special events and meals are held to celebrate holidays and seasons in the life of the church. All fellowship events are open to members and friends alike.
Wine Club
The Wine Club meets 6-8 times per year to learn about different varieties of wine and the history and making of wines from around the world. Highlights of the wine club are the annual dinner prepared by members of the club and the spring garden party. Wine club dates are listed on the church calendar.
